Overview
British Columbia aims to halve the carbon emissions from its built environment by 2030, requiring a dramatic increase in the rate and nature of heating equipment replacement and efficiency measures.
To better understand how their respective software and financial products can drive decarbonization and retrofit activity in the province’s ground oriented homes, OPEN Technologies and Vancity Credit Union have spent the last nine-months conducting market research on the barriers, friction points, and leverage points on the homeowner journey through the carbon retrofit process.
This presentation will summarize the key takeaways from OPEN’s and Vancity’s recently released report, and their structural recommendations for policy makers, retrofit and incentive program designers, and others with an interest in driving rapid and effective change.
DiscoverEE Session webinars will consist of a 20 minute presentation followed by a 25 minute community discussion (Q&A) for a total of 45 minutes. Details on each week's session topic and speaker(s) can be found at https://www.efficiencycanada.org/discover-ee/
