Women in Engineering, Science & Technology (WEST) will be presenting “The WEST Effect: How Female-Only Clubs Benefit Women in STEM,” sharing the work they’ve been building at UVic and the impact it’s had on students here. It’s a really exciting opportunity, not just for them as a team, but to showcase UVic and the kind of hands-on, inclusive engineering experiences they’ve been able to create through WEST.

This three-day conference will build on the momentum of over 30 years of Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology (CCWESTT) conferences. Join them to discover actions everyone can take to improve culture, policies, and retention at work and in learning environments. Gather to take action towards gender equity in science, engineering, trades and technology. In partnership with Engineers Canada and APEGA, they are proud to convene their Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology (SETT) community and explore a wide range of topics building on their shared vision to create safe, inclusive learning and workspaces.
